A must-have app for every artist

I heard about this app from reading Jo Mackenzie’s book Three-Step Watercolors. I had been looking for an app that would help me view the NOTAN patterns in my photo references before I started a new art piece.

After getting tired of squinting all the time to look at my photo reference to discern the NOTAN patterns, I was grateful to discover the existence of this app.

I like that I am able to get both the gray-scale and the NOTAN views of any of the photos I have in either my iPhone or the iPad. The app works best for my aging eyes in the iPad because of its larger screen.
